A Grudge Match
I’ve got too much of God’s anointing —to hold a grudge or maintain a spirit of anger!
This is Satan’s plan to destroy our effectiveness!
ANGER, is like a blazing flame that burns up our self-control! We are mandated (by God’s wisdom), to not fan the fire, but rather—rob it of oxygen and snuff it out!
Constant stress and anger, is linked to a range of issues including overeating, insomnia and depression and “heart” problems. It weakens your immune system!
Taming your anger, produces important benefits to your health, by improvements to your general mood and happiness.
Besides the negative effects of anger, it has a deadline!! —You can’t be angry too long. It raises your risk of allowing Satan to either make you sick or put a death sentence on you! None of us can allow anger to fester, because if we do—the enemy will come in…to steal, kill, and to destroy!
Besides, the more you stay angry the more schemes and plots you allow to run through your mind in an attempt to hurt and harm another person.
you can BE ANGRY—
BUT you can’t SIN with it!!
Here’s what works…applying good judgement and the thinking found from biblical wisdom—to your behavior and your responses! The accumulation of God’s wisdom is central to our identity… and yet few of us rarely consider it, in a tangible, useful way.
You have no idea how many people, whom I myself, have refrained from harming and hurting, simply by not telling my side of the story. (even though they yet strut around, as if in some way, I am responsible for their own perverted behavior) Anger has got to be dealt with. It does have a shelf-life—a length of time in which it can be stored within you, without you becoming unsuitable for God’s designed purposes.
Every morning…God’s mercies are new! Those old spirit of anger passes away, once it is released in confession and repentance…at night, before the new day dawns!
This is indeed—a Good morning!
…because we have laid our sins down at the feet of Jesus, for forgiveness last night!!
If you have maintained an attitude of anger, with someone-because they are doing better than you—even after your subtle attacks; if you are mad because they have laid the burden of you, down at Jesus’ feet; if you are still angry because that other person saw you for what you are, and called you out for it…Let it go-forever! All yesterday’s ended last night!
Worship with me:
🎶When peace like a river…attended my way when sorrows like sea billows roll…whatever my lot-He has taught me to say—“it is well…it is well🎶…with my soul”🎶
PRAYER with me:
“God I thank you for allowing me to be angry, with people, but you said I must not allow this spirit of anger to control my life. Father God, I confessed and admit that the way I responded was unnecessary. The way I disrespectfully handled them was uncalled for…thank you for bringing me to closure, for allowing me to see the error of my ways. Forgive me Lord. Restore unto me the joy of my salvation. So I can be happy again, so I can believe again, in Jesus name Amen.”
